Synopsis:
The largest part of London Underground is not in fact - underground. How does LU cope with conditions of ice, snow, fog, leaf-fall & the other difficulties of operating a surface railway in wintertime?
Steve will outline the a range of procedures utilised to keep London's transport network operational in all weathers.
Speaker biography:
Steve's first role at London Underground was as Control Equipment Engineer in the Rolling Stock department - part of Professional Services Group - based at Acton Works.
He later went on to work as a Systems Engineer on major projects.
