Synopsis:

The largest part of London Underground is not in fact - underground.

How does LU cope with conditions of ice, snow, fog, leaf-fall and the other difficulties of operating a surface railway in wintertime?

Speaker biography:

Steve's first role at London Underground was as Control Equipment Engineer in the Rolling Stock department - part of Professional Services Group - based at Acton Works.

As part of the Engineering Refocus he took on the role of Team Co-ordinator for the Central line team in Trains Delivery Groups based at 30 the South Colonnade, Canary Wharf before moving on to lead the District and Piccadilly line team.
